Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care

Want to get into a career in early childhood education? Get qualified to work as an Assistant in a Childcare Centre, Nanny, Playgroup Supervisor or start your own Family Day Care.

There has been a Slight change in the start dates for the next intake, The next course is now scheduled from 24 April to 26 October 2018 and will be held at 23 Foster St, Newmarket. Limited spaces available so hurry as time is running out for enrollments. Contact us now if you want to Register for the APRIL intake. 

No Fees for Australian/New Zealand citizens, Permanent Residents or Temporary Residents with the necessary visa and work permits on a pathway to permanent residency. Other conditions apply.

Enrolment for our next Aged Course is NOW OPEN, if you would like to start a career in Individual Support (Disability & Ageing care) this is your chance!!

English Conversation Club Lessons

Come and join the thriving club that meets at MCC every Thursday from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Our club members are mostly new migrants who cherish the opportunity to learn and practice conversing in English. These fun-filled classes are led by our dedicated team of volunteers - Michael Chung (Mong), Evelyn Wong, Evelyn Kuan, Lisa Ho, Kim Bott, Debbie Tam and coordinated by Sylvia Yap and Janis Maino. More volunteers and club members are welcomed.

Updates from March 2018

International Women's Day


International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the Social, Economic, Cultural & Political Achievements of Women. This year, it was celebrated a day earlier here at the Multicultural Community Centre. On March 7th, 2018 a Morning Tea was organised by Mrs. Jeannie Mok for our MCC/API Students and Trainers as well as Staff. We had some Special Guest attend our event, Ms. Lorraine Yabsley the Director of the Department of Employment, Small Business & Training. We also had Swina from Lets Bollywood put on a superb performance to entertain all of those who attended. Both Mrs. Jeannie Mok & Ms. Lorraine Yabsley were the main speakers at this event. 

 

INFORMATION SESSIONS

This month there were two information Sessions held in our Library:

1. Basic Computer Skills 
2. Citizenship Test Practice


There was a total of 8 attendees for these sessions. They were taught basic computer skills  such as turning on a computer, accessing the internet & browsing the internet to name a few. They were also put through a Citizenship Test Practice to prepare them for when they had to go through the Citizenship Process. Both very useful Information for those who have just arrived in Australia. These Sessions were hosted by Leonardo Leguizamon & Hilda Win of MCC.

Technicolour Multicultural Festival

Date: August 25, 2018
Time: 4:30pm - 9:00pm
Venue: 23 Foster Street, Newmarket

Technicolour Multicultural Festival is a large festival held in Newmarket each year that brings together people from many communities, both cultural and geographic. It allows the communities to celebrate and showcase what makes them unique and serves as a point of expression for each. This expression is revealed in many ways, but particularly through live performances and food. It also serves as a point of contact between various communities and support services. Don't forget to save the date!!
