Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability & Ageing)

 

Enrolment for our next Individual Support Course is NOW OPEN, if you would like to start a career in Individual Support (Disability & Ageing care) this is your chance!!

The start date for the next intake is on the 17th July 2018. Limited spaces available so contact us NOW if you want to resgister for the next intake.

No Fees for Australian/New Zealand citizens, Permanent Residents or Temporary Residents with the necessary visa and work permit on a pathway to permanent residency. Other conditions apply.

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care

Want to get into a career in early childhood education? Get qualified to work as an Assistant in a Childcare Centre, Nanny, Playgroup Supervisor or start your own Family Day Care.

The next course is now scheduled to run from 19 July to 14 December 2018 and will be held at 23 Foster St, Newmarket. Limited spaces available so hurry as time is running out for enrollments. Contact us now if you want to Register for the July intake.

English Conversation Club Lessons

Please come and join the thriving club that meets at MCC every Thursday from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Our club members are mostly new migrants who cherish the opportunity to learn and practice conversing in English. These fun-filled classes are led by our dedicated team of volunteers -  Evelyn Wong, Evelyn Kuan, Lisa Ho, Kim Bott, Debra Chen and Daniel Murphy and coordinated by Sylvia Yap and Janis Maino. More volunteers and club members are welcomed.

Have you all stocked up on your re-usable bags? Good, because you may be noticing that there are no more Plastic bags in the stores to pack your shopping. Starting July 1 we are Plastic Bag free thanks to the initiative of the Queensland Government.

We are happy to announce that the Multicultural Community Center has made it into the top three finalist for the 2018 Queensland Training Awards- Metropolitan Region in two categories:

1. Community Training Initiative of the Year
2. Equity VET student of the Year


Ms. Hui Wu has completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood and Education and Care and has been nominated from our organisation as the Equity VET student of the Year. Winners will be announced on July 27, 2018 at The Brisbane Exhibition & Convention Center.

Updates from June 2018
Completion of Certificate III in Early Childcare Education Course 
 
Our students that commenced the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care course in February 2018, have now successfully completed their course. A part of their course included an excursion to Ngutana Lui on June 11, 2018 where they experienced Aboriginal and Torres Straight Culture such as Story telling, Art, Sourcing Materials and Medicine from the bush as well as learning how to throw a Boomerang. The students had a great time during this excursion. We congratulate our Students in successfully completing their course and wish the all the Best for the future.
Completion of Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability & Aged) Course
 
Our Individual Support class that commenced their course in January this year  have now successfully completed their course as of June 15, 2018. They will be Graduating on July 10, 2018. A massive Congratulations to our students for completing the course and we wish them all the Best for the future!
