Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care
 
If you want to get into a career in Early Childhood Education and get qualified to work as an Assistant in a Childcare Center, Nanny, Playgroup Supervisor or start your own Family Day Care. Our next course is scheduled to start on 24 January 2019 and will be held at 23 Foster St, Newmarket. 

No Cost to eligible participants. Other conditions apply.

If you would like to start a career in Aged Care or Disability Care, this is your chance!! Our next course is scheduled to start on 6 February 2019 and will be held at 23 Foster St, Newmarket.

English Conversation Club

Please come and join the thriving club that meets at MCC every Thursday from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Our club members are mostly new migrants who cherish the opportunity to learn and practice conversing in English. Our English conversation club is currently on a two week holiday and classes will resume October 11th, 2018, please come along and join us!! 

These fun-filled classes are led by our dedicated team of volunteers -  Evelyn Wong, Evelyn Kuan, Lisa Ho, Kim Bott, Debra Chen and Daniel Murphy and coordinated by Sylvia Yap and Janis Maino. More volunteers and club members are welcomed.

UPDATES FROM SEPTEMBER
NGUTANA LUI

Our April 2018 intake for the Certificate III in Early Childcare & Education class went on an excursion to the Ngutana Lui Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Cultural Studies centre on the 21st of September, 2018. The students learnt about the traditional owners of the land and their customs such as story-telling, art, food & medicine that can be sourced from the bush as well as some aboriginal dance. This excursion is a part of their course to better understand the Promoting Aboriginal & Torres Strait Island Cultural Safety unit. 
Settlement Services Program
 
Our Director (Volunteer) Mrs. Jeannie Mok OAM and our Settlement Services Program coordinators met with the Tibetan leaders to discuss our settlement services program. Present at the meeting were three of our former students from our Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing).
