Our next Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability & Ageing) course is scheduled to commence on the 30th January 2020. If you would like to start a career in Aged Care or Disability Care and love to provide quality care to the elderly or disabled, give us a call today! ENGLISH CONVERSATION CLUB
Come and join the thriving club that meets at MCC every Thursday from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Our club members are mostly new migrants who cherish the opportunity to learn and practice conversing in English. Please come along and join us at 23 Foster Street, Newmarket.

These fun-filled classes are led by our dedicated team of volunteers -  Evelyn Wong, Evelyn Kuan, Lisa Ho, Kim Bott, Debra Chen, Michael Chung and Daniel Murphy and coordinated by Sylvia Yap, Sylvia Tiong and Janis Maino. More volunteers and club members are welcomed.

DGSB PROGRAM
The Developing & Growing Small Business (DGSB) programs commenced in September and cater to the following:
  • Stream 1: For participants with no business experience to learn how to start a small business through a series of workshops.
  • Stream 2: For participants with an existing business but require business coaching.
2 separate DGSB programs are running concurrently:
  • DGSB for men and women from CALD background (funded by Multicultural Affairs Queensland) with 12 participants in Stream 1 and 3 small businesses in Stream 2.
  • DGSB for women from CALD background (funded by the Department of Home Affairs) with 12 participants in Stream 1 and 3 small businesses in Stream 2.
Workshops and coaching sessions were held every Saturday. On 19th October, Stream 1 participants from both programs will practice what it is like to run a business by managing 2 food stalls at West End markets.
