Our Director (Volunteer) Mrs. Jeannie Mok OAM with the Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner at the Brisbane City Council launch of the Inclusive Brisbane plan. The Lord Mayor was presented two photographs of Brisbane City by finalists from our Photography competition held during  MCC's Chinese New Year markets.
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care (CHC30113)
Our next intake for the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care course is scheduled to commence on the 22nd of April 2020. If you are you thinking about a Career in Early Childhood Education and you love to be around children, then this course is for you! ENGLISH CONVERSATION CLASS
Please come and join the thriving class that meets at MCC every Thursday from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Our club members are mostly new migrants who cherish the opportunity to learn and practise conversing in English. We are located at 23 Foster Street, Newmarket.

These fun-filled classes are led by our dedicated team of volunteers -  Evelyn Wong, Evelyn Kuan, Lisa Ho, Kim Bott, Debra Chen and Daniel Murphy and coordinated by Sylvia Yap and Janis Maino. What Happened in February 2020
MCC's Director (Volunteer) Mrs. Jeannie Mok OAM, MCC Director Faith Leong and General Manager Brian Selvaratnam  met with Minister Grace Grace and other VIPs at the Queensland Premier's Chinese New Year reception.
Information Session
 
Our Settlement Engagement and Transition Support team organized an information session in early February. The session was hosted by Centrelink about ways to identify and tackle depression. A group of CALD migrants  attended the session and were assisted by a translator to ensure that they understood the information delivered.
