Hand Sanitizers
Teachers in the Newmarket, Wilston and Stafford area as well as the Stafford Police station were thrilled to receive 125 ml bottles of hand sanitizer last week. MCC's Director (Volunteer) Jeannie Mok OAM and one of our Project Coordinators Samantha Lac, distributed 300 bottles of hand sanitizers (125ml), donated by the Consulate-General of The People's Republic of  China in Brisbane. These hand santizers were personally delivered to Principal Vicki Richards of Newmarket State School, Head of Curriculum Amy O'Malley of Enoggera State School, Principal Lee Martins of Stafford State School, Principal Abi Hurdley of Stafford Heights State School, Principal John O'Connor of St. Colombas Primary School and Principal Jude Fountain of Wilston State School, as well as the Stafford Police station. A great initiative by the Multicultural Community Centre in helping Queensland flatten the curve.

Settlement Engagement and Transition Support Program
Several of our senior citizens from our refugee communities were recipients of food vouchers donated to our MCC Settlement Engagement and Transition Support program by the International City Church. This is part of their initiative to assist those in need during this COVID 19 pandemic. Our MCC SETS team personally delivered these food vouchers which have greatly assisted these families who are currently struggling during this difficult time. A very big Thank you to ICC for their support.
