Technicolour Chinese New Year Night Market
MCC delivered another spectacular Technicolour Chinese New Year Night Market on the 13th February 2021. Our covid safe event was enjoyed by all with activities for everyone: free calligraphy workshop, food trucks with delicious Asian cuisine and ice cream to keep everyone cool. We had stalls selling amazing gifts and a photo gallery that displayed entries from our  Chinese New Year Photography competition (with ‘HOPE’ as its theme). VIPs and festival attendees were entertained with the dramatic Lion Dance in our auditorium, followed by 2 fabulous Chinese Cultural Shows sponsored by the PRC Consulate General. Key VIPs joined MCC's Director (Volunteer) Mrs. Jeannie Mok OAM in the Yee Sang 'Prosperity Toss' salad to welcome the New Year. Our guests included  Deputy Minister Trevor Evans MP, Mr. Jimmy Sullivan MP,  Mr. David Crisafulli (LNP Leader of the Opposition), Dr. Christian Rowan MP, Mr. Timothy Mander MP, Councilors Andrew Wines,  Kim Marx,  Steve Toomey and Home Affairs Regional Director Lisa Crawford.  We would like to Thank MCC's Project Coordinator Samantha Lac and her team of dedicated Trainees for organizing this amazing event!
