What happened in April?
Settlement Engagement and Transition Support - Information Session
MCC's Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) team arranged an information session with Carers Queensland on the 15th April, to share with our Individual Support students about the specialised services that they provide to families around Australia for aged and disability support. A most comprehensive session for the 23 participants who are planning to start a career in Aged and Disability care.
Event Work-Skills Traineeship Program
MCC's out-going  team of Trainees for the Work-Skill Traineeship program successfully organized two events over the last 18 weeks of their program. They organized a spectacular Technicolor Chinese New Year Night Market in February, as well as a Giant 10 000 Easter Egg Hunt Kids Festival in March; both very successful events! As the Traineeship program comes to an end, the team was taken out to lunch by MCC'S Director (Volunteer) Mrs. Jeannie Mok OAM as a reward for all their effort they put into their Traineeship program. MCC wishes them all the best in their future endeavors!

Applications are now open for our next Work Skill Traineeship Program, please click on the link for more information: https://www.seek.com.au/job/52057347
MCC's Director (Volunteer) Mrs. Jeannie Mok OAM attended the citizenship ceremony on the 19th April hosted by the Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner. Also attending the event was Councillor Andrew Wines and Shadow Minister John Paul Langbroek among many other leaders that attended the event.
