What an exciting fun-filled day at our Technicolour Mini Festival held on Saturday 11 September, 2021. Despite the threat of a lockdown we managed to keep our doors open for a COVID safe festival for the community. Prior to opening the event to the public, 1 1/2 hours were dedicated to the families from the AEIOU foundation and Down Syndrome Queensland. The children and their families were able to go on the many rides such as the teacup ride, swinging chairs, Ferris wheel and many more. They also enjoyed the petting zoo, pony rides and many other games set up around the festival. A variety of food trucks were set up around the venue for families to enjoy a delicious lunch from a range of food trucks, topped off with colourful performances by talented dancers for the main show. 

Some of the very important guests who graced our festival included Jimmy Sullivan MP, James Martin MP,  Deputy Minister Lance McCallum MP, Timothy Nichols MP, Councillor Andrew Wines, Councillor Kim Marx, QLD Police Commissioner Ms. Katarina Carroll and Consulate General of PRC Dr. Xu Jie, who also sponsored the amazing prizes for the ‘Koala Meets Panda’ Art Competition.
